How it works
- Draft a standard fantasy football roster with your friends — same rules as any other league.
- Each week, pick from a deck of action cards. Buff cards boost your own players. Debuff cards target rivals' players, position groups, or whole teams.
- Play up to three cards per week. Cards lock when the first NFL game kicks off, then resolve once games end.
- Defend yourself: the Silver Tongued Devil lets you protect a player and bounce incoming debuffs back at the attacker.
- Standings, playoffs, championship — all the same as a normal league, just with the card layer changing roughly one in five matchup outcomes.
What's in the deck
Cards span three rarities — common, rare, and epic — and three target scopes: single player, position group, or whole team. Effects can be percentage-based (e.g. −20% QB production) or flat-point (e.g. +5 to a starter). Magnitudes are tuned so the card layer influences about 18% of weekly matchups: enough to matter, not enough to overshadow the actual football.
Why play Fandetta
Standard fantasy football leagues lose stakes by week 8 — bottom-of-the-standings teams have little left to play for. The card layer keeps every matchup live: a sub-.500 team can still influence a contender's championship run with the right cards at the right time.
